New Braunfels, often referred to as the "City of a Prince" is located between Austin and San Antonio on Interstate Highway 35.

The two rivers, Comal River and Guadalupe River, are popular for tubing, swimming, rafting, canoeing and kayaking. One of the nation's largest and most popular water parks, Schlitterbahn is located in downtown New Braunfels and Canyon Lake is also a popular water destination.
New Braunfels has several museums including Conservation Plaza, a historic Railroad Museum, Lindheimer Home, Heritage Plaza and the New Braunfels Children's Museum. Live theatre, musical programs, and art exhibits occur regularly.
