I am a Texas Native. Born and raised in Houston, I moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana to attend Wabash College but returned to Texas to attend and work at North Texas State (now UNT), followed by full-time positions at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State).
I have approximately 20 years of experience at both UNT and Texas State in staff development, supervision and management, higher education instruction, marketing, and contract development, negotiation and implementation.
In the private sector I served as Vice President of an Austin based real estate development firm, with responsibility for business development (sales) and design facilitation of university housing projects in the southern United States.
I was also Senior Business Analyst for a Chicago based business development firm tasked with providing solutions for distressed small and medium sized businesses throughout the U.S.
As part of the city of San Marcos community, I owned and managed my own restaurant and catering businesses in the center of downtown while serving as both Vice President and President of the Downtown Business Association, helping to guide and mentor other downtown businesses and shape the future of the city's downtown community.
I have also worked with multiple city and county boards and organizations including as former Vice President of Hays County CrimeStoppers, Member San Marcos Rotary, San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, President Downtown Business Owners Association
I look forward to working with you and your family to make your central Texas dreams of home ownership (whatever these dreams may be) come true.
